Record Opening On Cards For Sivakarthikeyan With 'Amaran'

Chennai, October 30 - Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan's biographical war action drama film Amaran is creating a sensation in the advance booking which is easily the highest ever for the actor. The film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy.

The pre-sales of Amaran are simply sensational and one of the best of 2024 in the home state, Tamil Nadu. With few hours still left for the first show to begin, the bookings for the movie are around 10 crores gross for the opening day in the state while all India sales around 12 crores gross which is excellent.



Amaran is heading towards the third biggest opening of 2024 in Tamil Nadu. The movie has a shot at scoring 15 crores gross start in the state which will be higher than Kamal Haasan's Indian 2's 13 crores opening.

Thalapathy Vijay's The GOAT and superstar Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan are currently the top 2 openers in Tamil Nadu with 29.50 crores and 20.50 crores, respectively.

Apart from the home state, Amaran is also witnessing good pre-sales in Telugu states. The all-India opening of the film could be in the range of 18-20 crores gross which will be the career biggest start for Sivakarthikeyan who has been one of the most successful Tamil actors in recent times.

If Amaran manages to score positive word of mouth, it could be one of the biggest Tamil grossers of the year as the Diwali holidays will ensure solid collections through the weekend and beyond.
