Rohit Shetty Gives Major Update on Shooting of Ajay Devgn-Fronted 'Singham 3'

Mumbai, August 1 - The hit machine of Bollywood, Rohit Shetty is increasing the bar high for his next cop drama film Singham 3 with Ajay Devgn returning in the title role. While the filmmaker is currently busy in the post-production of Ranveer Singh-fronted "Cirkus", he has already started preparation for "Singham 3".

During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the maverick filmmaker revealed his plans for the third installment of the Singham franchise. Previously, it was reported that the shooting of "Singham 3" will start by the end of this year, however, Shetty confirmed that it will go on the floor in April next year as Ajay Devgn is busy with his current commitments.



"We have already started working on Singham 3. It has been a long time since I made an out-and-out Singham film. We start the shoot next year in April. Ajay Sir is busy with his commitments and I am also busy with Cirkus. It is going to be the biggest cop universe ever that we have made to date", the filmmaker told.

The man behind India's first cinematic cop universe (Singham, Simmba, Sooryavanshi), also confirmed that a female cop film will also happen soon in his cop universe, however, the details on the same are yet to be known.

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is also working on his digital debut cop series, fronted by Sidharth Malhotra. The shoot of the series is in its final leg and will soon be completed. Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi also star in the show which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video next year.
