Rohit Shetty - Ranveer Singh's 'Cirkus' To Come Out On Diwali 2022?

Mumbai, October 20 - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is currently busy in promotional activities of his upcoming biggie "Sooryavanshi", which is scheduled to release on 5 November on the occasion of Diwali. The movie stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the leading roles while Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh play extended cameos as Singham and Simmba respectively.

While the filmmaker gears up for Sooryavanshi's release, he has reportedly started making plans for his next film "Cirkus", which stars Ranveer Singh in the lead along with Pooja Hegde, and Jacqueline Fernandez. According to reports, Rohit Shetty is thinking to bring the film during Diwali 2022 weekend as he thinks it is the perfect film to entertain the audiences.



"Rohit and his team are of the opinion that Cirkus makes for a perfect Diwali release as it's an out and out comedy. The ones who have seen the rushes inform that Rohit has created a fairy tale Disney world that isn't seen before in Hindi films. It's a comic caper with solid visuals, and the team is planning to bring it during Diwali 2022 weekend", according to a report by Bollywood Hungama.

The report further claimed that Rohit Shetty and his team want to maintain proper space between the films of Ranveer Singh, who has 3 releases in the next 5 months, starting with Sooryavanshi on Diwali, 83 on Chrismas, and Jayeshbhai Jordaar on February 25. The filmmaker is clear that there shouldn't be overexposure of Singh's films that can hamper the prospects of the film.

Meanwhile, Cirkus is the first outright comedy film for Rohit Shetty outside the Golmaal franchise. It is said to be the official adaptation of the 1982 movie Angoor which was based on William Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors. The official announcement of the release date of the film will be made after the Sooryavanshi release.
