SVF Cinemas Opens 9 New Screens In West Bengal
Kolkata, October 10 - Shree Venkatesh Films Cinemas (SVF), one of the largest chains of movie theatres in the Eastern part of India, has added 9 new screens to its existing chain of plexes in West Bengal. The 9 new screens include 3 screens each in Durgapur and Chinsurah, 2 screens in Coochbehar, and 1 in Dhaniakhali.
SVF Cinemas now operates 25 screens in West Bengal in 13 properties. SVF aims to be the first choice for Eastern India moviegoers, at par with international counterparts. It is expanding its horizon with upcoming ventures in Tejpur (Assam) and Buxar (Bihar) along with Kalna, Baranagore, Maldah, Naihati, Kanchrapara, Barackpore, Uttarpara, Serampore, Shyamnagar.

Founded by Shrikant Mohta in 1996, SVF is also one of the largest production and distribution houses of Bengali films, and it also distributes Bollywood and Hollywood films in Eastern India. In January 2008, SVF entered a partnership with Real Image Media Technologies to bring their Qube Digital Cinema technology to Eastern India.
