Salman Khan To Donate Rs. 1500 Each To Film Industry Workers
Mumbai, May 7, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again set an example for others as he has decided to donate money to the film industry workers who have suffered the most during the covid-19 pandemic. The actor will be donating Rs 1500 each to 25,000 workers of the Hindi film industry.
Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari confirmed to ETimes, "We have sent Salman Khan a list of names of the people in need and he has agreed to deposit the money".
Apart from donating money, Salman Khan recently distributed food packets to frontline warriors through his philanthropic initiative. The actor had started the initiative with Yuva Sena leader Rahul Kanal and they arranged meal kits for nearly 5,000 frontline workers which include police personnel and health care workers.
Besides the above-mentioned initiatives, Salman Khan Films and Zee Studios recently announced that the revenues generated through the multiplatform release of Salman Khan starrer upcoming movie, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, will be used towards covid-19 relief.
Last year too, the superstar had transferred funds into the accounts of daily wage workers from the film industry. He had made a payment of Rs 3,000 each to the daily wage workers of the film industry and had promised to transfer more funds later.
