Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan-Fronted Iconic Blockbuster 'Karan Arjun' Sets Worldwide Re-Release
Mumbai, October 28 - Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan teamed up for the first time for the action drama Karan Arjun in 1995. The film, directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, became a massive box-office success and has been massively popular on TV.
Now, nearly 3 decades later, Rakesh Roshan has announced the re-release of this iconic blockbuster. The film has been confirmed to hit the big screens worldwide on November 22 and the makers released the teaser to announce the same.
In the film, Karan (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Shah Rukh Khan) reincarnate in different parts of the country. But the faith of their previous mother brings them together in order to avenge their death. Late actor Amrish Puri plays the antagonist role while Kajol and Mamta Kulkarni play the female lead.
Karan Arjun was originally released on January 13, 1995, and was the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of 1995 after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The film grossed over 43 crores at the worldwide box office against a budget of 6 crore.
