Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's 'Stree 2' Teaser Details Revealed

Mumbai, June 7 - The most-anticipated film in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe is Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 which is the sequel to 2018's Stree. The movie is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios.

The industry is waiting for the response to Stree 2 which will be released in August this year. Meanwhile, the makers are gearing up to launch the movie's teaser soon after completing the censorship formalities yesterday.



It is learned that the teaser of Stree 2 was censored on June 7 and it received a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 1 minute and 23 seconds. The release date of the teaser is yet to be announced.

Stree was the first film in Maddock Supernatural Universe, followed by Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. It remains the highest-grossing film in Maddock's horror-comedy universe so far with a worldwide collection of over 180 crores.

The sequel, which is the 5th movie in the series, stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana as they reprise their roles from the first movie. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 30 August 2024.
