Sidharth Malhotra To Headline Karan Johar's Next Directorial: Report

Mumbai, August 12 - Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar made his directorial comeback with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-fronted Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in 2023. The movie was a box office success with over 350 crores worldwide, thanks to the equal contribution from overseas markets.

After the release of RRKPK, Karan Johar announced that his next directorial film wouldn't take much time and would be an action thriller film that he is currently scripting. There has been a curiosity among the fans about who would headline the movie and there is finally an update on the same.



According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, Sidharth Malhotra is in advanced talks with Johar to come on board to lead the movie. The report states that "When Karan Johar was developing the script, the name of Sid naturally crossed his mind. He narrated the film to Sid, and the actor has shown interest in mentors' action film".

Karan Johar is developing a quintessential hero vs villain film and will treat it as a two-hero face-off film. The movie and casting will be made official after the filmmaker completes the script. Sidharth Malhotra, meanwhile, is currently shooting for Balwinder Singh Janjua's directorial titled Mitti. It will be released next year.
