Spider-Man: No Way Home Breaks Pre-Sales Record In The US
Los Angeles, December 1 - Tom Holland's "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has been poised to take the box office record on fire. Scheduled to release on December 17 in the USA, the advance booking for the 3rd MCU Spider-Man film was opened on Monday, and the crazy demand literally crashed the ticketing websites within minutes.
As per reports, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" advance booking for the first day is already the highest since "Avengers: Endgame" (2019). In just 2 hours, the pre-sales of "No Way Home" beat "Black Widow's" first day. The first-day pre-sales of the film are higher than "Avengers: Infinity War", "Spider-Man: Far From Home", "Star Wars", among others.
Canada Cineplex theater announced on Twitter that "No Way Home" has officially become theater's biggest pre-sale ticketing launch ever. World biggest theater chain in the world, AMC reports that "No Way Home" had the second-biggest volume of pre-sales in the 24 hours in the chain's 101 years of history, only 1.5% behind "Endgame's" all-time record.
In the early box office projection, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is projected to earn between $135 million and $185 million in the opening weekend. However, looking at the huge demands for the tickets, the number could go higher. Touted as the finest solo superhero movie ever, "No Way Home" is most probably going to be 1 billion grosser of the pandemic era at the worldwide box office.
Directed by Jon Watts, the superhero film also stars Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Wong, among others in key roles. It will be released on December 16 in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
