Stats: A Day Of RCB's Familiar Meltdown
A much-awaited Indian Premier League 2019 opener witnessed one of the worst batting performances in the tournament history. Royal Challengers Bangalore who has one of the best batting line-ups, suffered another familiar collapse and bowled out on just 70-runs against the defending champion Chennai Super Kings in their forte, MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai and handed CSK a 7-wicket win.
It was the third time when RCB has played a season opener and every time they have been on the losing side. It is hard to believe that despite having a few of the world's best batsmen, RCB has the worst possible numbers in the tournament's history. On the other hand, CSK continued their dominance over RCB and won the 7th game in a row against their counterparts.
