Superstar Mohanlal's 'Empuraan' Censor Certificate And Theatrical Runtime Revealed
Kochi, March 7 - One of the biggest Malayalam films ever, superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan is all set to hit the big screen on March 27 in multiple languages. The movie is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also plays a key role in it alongside a massive ensemble cast.
Meanwhile, the makers have completed censorship formalities and as per reports, Empuraan has been censored with a U/A certificate with an approved runtime of 3 hours by The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), as one of the longest Malayalam films of all time.
The film has reportedly been passed with 8 cuts, including the violent scenes and dialogues. There is no other major cut has been made by the board and the makers are confident of the final output they have in their hands. Additionally, the trailer of the film has also been passed with a runtime of 3 minutes and 51 seconds. It will be released in a few days.
Produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas, Empuraan is a follow-up to the 2019 film Lucifer and the second instalment in the planned trilogy. It stars Mohanlal as Khureshi-Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, alongside an ensemble cast consisting of Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Abhimanyu Singh, Manju Warrier, and Sachin Khedekar, among others.
