Superstar Prabhas Character Details In Sci-Fi Epic 'Project K' Reportedly Revealed

Hyderabad, July 2 - Director Nag Ashwin has been working tirelessly on the sci-fi epic "Project K" starring superstar Prabhas in the lead. The makers have kept mum on the film's premise although a few character details have been revealed in the media.

As the release date is getting nearer, the latest details from the movie hint that "Project K" is a much bigger movie than what we have heard so far. Previously, it was revealed that legendary Amitabh Bachchan's role is inspired by Ashwatthama from Mahabharata, and now, the details of Prabhas' character have also reportedly been revealed.



According to senior journalist Daamu Balaji (via Thyview), Prabhas' character is inspired by Lord Vishnu in modern times. It is said that "Project K" is a sci-fi supernatural film that runs on the theme of Good vs evil just like Marvel movies do, but director Nag Ashwin has mixed mythology with science.

"The hand poster of Prabhas' character released is of lord Vishnu. How Prabhas fights the modern villains using high technology forms the rest of the story. The evil character is portrayed by Kamal Haasan", the post reveals.

The movie is produced by C. Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies. It is one of the costliest films ever made in Indian cinema with the said budget of over 500 crores. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, it stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in prominent roles.

"Project K" is scheduled to release on January 12, 2024, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Reports say the movie might be pushed to the summer of 2024, however, the official confirmation is yet to be made.
