Superstar Rajinikanth To Receive 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award On October 25

Chennai, October 24 - Superstar Rajnikanth will be awarded the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award on October 25. The announcement was first made by the government of India in April this year. On Sunday (October 24), the veteran actor took to social media and shared a statement stating that October 25 is going to be an important occasion for him with two special landmarks.

While he will receive the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award tomorrow, the superstar is also delighted to announce the launch of a voice-based social media platform "HOOTE" made by his daughter Soundarya Vishagan.



"Her independent efforts has pioneered the making of a very useful app for people called Hoote and she is going to introduce it to the world from India. People can now express through their voice their thoughts, wishes, and ideas just like they do in writing in any language of their choice", the 70-year old said.

On the work front, Rajnikanth is gearing up for the release of his next action film "Annaatthe", which is scheduled to release on November 4. Directed by Siva and produced by Sun Pictures, the movie also stars Nayanthara and Keerthi Suresh in the leading roles.
