Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' To Clash With 'War 2'?

Mumbai, January 8 - Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama Coolie is nearing the shoot completion with 70% of filming already completed. The remaining shoot will be done this month in the next schedule, which is planned from January 13 to January 28.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagraj, Coolie is easily one of the most anticipated Indian movies of 2025 with blockbuster talent attached to it. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is playing a vital cameo in the movie which reunites him with Rajinikanth after nearly 3 decades.



Meanwhile, the fans are eagerly waiting for the release date as Coolie was announced for the summer of 2025 debut. However, there is a change in plan as according to the latest Tamil media reports, the film will now be released in August during the Independence Day weekend.

If the reports turn true, then Coolie will clash with Yash Raj Films' War 2 which is already confirmed for an August 14 release. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, the spy action thriller is one of the hugely-awaited films of the year.

Both Coolie and War 2 have the potential to wreak havoc at the box office in multiple languages given the cast and crew they involve. The clash, which hasn't been official yet, may prove to be a big dent in the overall box-office potential of both films.
