Suriya Plays A Cameo In Akshay Kumar-Fronted Hindi Remake of 'Soorarai Pottru'

Mumbai, June 15 - Akshay Kumar-fronted Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster "Soorarai Pottru" will have the original vibe as Suriya, who played the lead in the original movie, is playing a cameo role in the yet-untitled Hindi version.

Suriya himself confirmed his cameo on Twitter with a picture with Akshay Kumar as VIR. "@akshaykumar sir to see you as #VIR was nostalgic! @Sudha_Kongara can see our story beautifully coming alive again #Maara! Enjoyed every minute with team #SooraraiPottru Hindi in a brief cameo".

The Hindi remake is being directed by Sudha Kongara who helmed the original Tamil version while Suriya's 2D Entertainment and Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment have produced the upcoming movie. Radhika Madan is playing the female lead role opposite Akshay.

The shoot for the Hindi remake is happening at a brisk pace and it will be wrapped up soon. The release date of the film is yet to finalize.
