Suriya's 'Kanguva' Release Date Locked

Chennai, June 27 - Tamil star Suriya's much-awaited pan India movie Kanguva with director Siva has locked Dusshera 2024 release. The movie also stars Disha Patani as the female lead and Bobby Deol as the antagonist in their Tamil debut.

The fantasy action film will be released worldwide on October 10, 2024, in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada language. It will clash with Alia Bhatt's Jigra and Shahid Kapoor's Deva which are already slated for the same weekend. Kanguva is produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, and it is one of the costliest Tamil movies ever. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP).



The confirmation of the Kanguva release on October 10 means Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan may move its release to a new date from its current launch on the same date. It is currently in production with Rajinikanth in the titular role, leading an ensemble cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan.
