Suriya's 'Kanguva' To Avert Box Office Clash With Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan'?

Chennai, August 22 - Two of the biggest Tamil movies of the year, superstar Rajinikanth's action thriller Vettaiyan and Suriya-fronted Kanguva are set for an epic clash at the box office this Dussehra weekend, on August 10, 2024.

Kanguva was the first to announce the August 10 release amid the anticipation that Vettaiyan would take the slot before Lyca Productions recently confirmed the inevitable clash. There have been mixed voices regarding this clash as both films are huge in terms of budget and scale with tremendous buzz and hype.



Now, according to the latest buzz in Tamil media, the makers are contemplating postponing Kanguva to avoid the clash with the Rajinikanth-starrer. While there are no official words from the makers on the same yet, it is being seen as a possible move.

Kanguva is directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green. It stars Suriya in the title role alongside Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani in the Tamil debuts, Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, and K. S. Ravikumar in key roles.
