Thalapathy 69 Gets First Look Title; Release Date To Be Postponed

Chennai, January 26 - Thalapathy Vijay's 69th and potentially the last film before his political entry has been titled Jana Nayagan. The movie is directed by H Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, marking the studio's maiden Tamil production.

The title of Thalapathy 69 was announced on Republic Day with the first look poster which features Thalapathy Vijay in a striking pose, taking a selfie amidst a sea of his devoted fans. The first-look poster of Jana Nayagan is almost a replica of a selfie the actor took some years ago while promoting his film.



The title and poster of the movie resonate with Vijay's political undertones. The film was originally announced for Diwali 2025 release but the date was missing in the latest update. According to reliable reports, the film will be postponed to Pongal 2026 in multiple languages.

Jana Nayagan stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead, reuniting with Vijay after Beast. It also stars Bobby Deol in his Tamil debut alongside Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, Monisha Blessy and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
