Thalapathy 69: Thalapathy Vijay's Next Film's Details Announced With Release Date

Chennai, September 14 - Thalapathy Vijay, arguably the biggest Tamil star, has officially announced his 69th film which is said to be his final movie before his political entry under his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

Tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, the film will be directed by H. Vinoth, marking his maiden collaboration with the superstar. The leading Kannada production house, KVN Productions will produce T69 and it will be the studio's maiden Tamil production.



Sensational Anirudh Ravichander is on board to compose the music of T69 which has been confirmed to hit the big screens in October 2025. While the other details were not revealed, the movie is expected to start shooting in October this year.

The makers announced the film on Saturday, September 14 with the first look concept poster with the tagline, "The torch bearer of Democracy", indicating a political drama. The poster shows a hand holding a flambeau.

Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller, The Greatest of All Time is currently playing in theatres and is doing fantastic business. The movie grossed approximately 351 crores worldwide in the first 9 days and is heading towards the 400 crores mark.
