Thalapathy Vijay's 'Beast' First Song, Arabic Kuthu Breaks YouTube Records
Chennai, February 15 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller "Beast" is readying for April 14, 2022, release in theaters worldwide. The makers kick-started the online promotion of the film by releasing the first song, Arabic Kuthu, on Valentine's Day, and it has become an instant hit on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Arabic Kuthu, sung by Anirudh Ravichander & Jonita Gandhi and composed by Anirudh from the lyrics penned by SivaKarthikeyan, was expected to become a big hit knowing the massive fan following of Thalapathy Vijay. It not only became a major hit but also surpassed the expectation of everyone, by becoming the most viewed and liked South Indian lyrical video song on YouTube.
The lyrical video song of Arabic Kuthu gained 23.7 million views on YouTube in the first 24-hours, which is a record for a South Indian song. It crossed Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde's Kalavathi song from "Sarkaru Vaari Paata", which had 14.79 million views during the same period. Kalavathi was released a day before Arabic Kuthu.
The "Beast" first single has also become the first South Indian lyrical video song to score over 20 million views in the first 24-hours while it also got 2.2 million likes, which is again a record in South India. It already became the fastest to reach 1 million likes and 10 million views on YouTube for South.
