The Biopic of Industrialist Ratan Tata Is In The Works?

Chennai, November 22 - National award-winning filmmaker, Sudha Kongara is reportedly working on the biopic of the famous Indian industrialist, Ratan Tata. Tata is one of the renowned industrialists and the former chairman of Tata Sons.

It is said that Sudha, who came to the limelight with Suriya-starrer "Soorarai Pottru", has been planning to direct Tata's biopic and the research on the same is reportedly in the crucial stage. The film will bring many facets of the life of Tata and will also showcase many incidents around his life that are not available in the public domain.



According to Cinema Express, the casting of the film is also underway with Suriya and Abhishek Bachchan in consideration to play the role of the legendary industrialist. The makers are planning to start the principal photography at the end of 2023.

Sudha's last directorial, "Soorarai Pottru", which is based on the life of Air Deccan founder and retired Captain of the Indian Army GR Gopinath, won critical acclaim and won five awards including Best Feature Film at the 68th National Film Awards.
