The Rock Hypes WrestleMania Appearance, Cody Rhodes Fires Back With Mama Rhodes Defense

The Rock is on the road to WrestleMania 40 and isn't shying away from controversy. This weekend, "The People's Champ" took to social media to promote his upcoming appearance and reiterate his dominance.

He claims to have single-handedly revitalized professional wrestling, calling himself the "most electric, disruptive, distinctive, and hottest heel" of the past two decades. But his trash talk wasn't just generic boasts. The Rock specifically targeted Cody Rhodes' mother, "Mama Rhodes," indicating a custom championship belt made from "her tears," "Cody's blood," and his own "hands."



This didn't sit well with Cody Rhodes. On Raw this past Monday, Rhodes made it clear his mother wouldn't be intimidated. He even shared a story of her overpowering an undercover cop at a Willie Nelson concert.

Interestingly, The Rock wasn't present on SmackDown last Friday when Roman Reigns and Cody confronted each other. He's also not scheduled for Raw or SmackDown this week.

Meanwhile, CM Punk is set to appear on Raw tomorrow night in Chicago. He's determined to be involved in WrestleMania 40 in some way.
