Thor: Love And Thunder First Poster Reportedly Surfaces On Social Media

Mumbai, December 11 - Marvel Studios' "Thor: Love And Thunder" is still over 8 months for a worldwide release, but it looks like Marvel fans might have gotten their first look at the poster for Thor: Love and Thunder on social media. On Twitter, a Thor fan account posted an image, which they reportedly claim is the "Thor: Love And Thunder" poster.

The poster image is distributed by Pyramid, the company that put up a Ms. Marvel poster way too early from its release as well. Meanwhile, the poster image looks actual and it revealed Korg, Jane Foster, and the God of Thunder's (Thor) new costumes. Natalie Portman, after missing out in "Thor: Ragnarok" (2017), returns as Jane Foster. The viral poster image also features Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie.



Taika Waiti returns as a director while Chris Hemsworth's founding Avenger is set to make a grand return in 2022 with his fourth solo film. Joining the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder are Christian Bale's villain Gorr the God Butcher, Russell Crowe as Zeus, and most of the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, including Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Vin Diesel (voiceover) as Groot, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, among others.

"Thor: Love And Thunder" is intended to be the direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It is currently slated for release on July 8, 2022, after being delayed a few months due to production shifts.

Director Waititi previously said the film would adapt elements from Jason Aaron's run on The Mighty Thor comic book, which sees Portman's character Jane Foster take on the mantle and powers of Thor whilst suffering from cancer. Robinson joined the film in February 2020, with Waititi later describing it as a romance film.
