Three Indian Titles Score Nominations At 95th Academy Awards

Mumbai, January 24 - The nominations for the 95th Academy Awards have been announced and it brings a lot of cheers to India with three nominations. The winners will be announced on March 12, 2023.

'Naatu Naatu' song from SS Rajamouli's "RRR" has been nominated in the Best Original Song category, becoming the first-ever Indian song to get Oscar nominations. It was an easy pick and was also predicated by every major Hollywood website and newspaper.

"The Elephant Whisperers", directed by Kartiki Gonsalves, has scored a nomination at the 95th Academy Awards in the Best Documentary Short Film category. Just like 'Naatu Naatu', "The Elephant Whisperers" was also a sure-shot nomination and is the front-runner to win the Oscars.

The third Indian title to get the Oscars 2023 nomination is "All That Breathes" which has been nominated in the Best Documentary Feature Film category. The film revolves around the lives of brothers Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, who rescue and deal with injured birds, particularly black kites.
