Top 20 Most Anticipated Indian Films of 2024, Per IMDb

Mumbai, January 9 - According to IMDb's latest ranking, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's aerial action thriller Fighter is the most anticipated Indian film of 2024. Directed by Siddharth Anand, it beats Pan India biggie Pushpa 2, though there is a massive gap between the release dates of the two films.

Fighter marks the reunion of Hrithik and Siddharth Anand after War 2 (2019), and it is easily one of the most exciting duos on the big screen. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix, the movie is scheduled to release on January 25, also in IMAX, worldwide.



Allu Arjun's Pan India action drama Pushpa - The Rule is the second most-anticipated Indian film of the year. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is already carrying a lot of buzz which is expected to escalate towards its release on 15 August. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa 2 is a serious contender of emerging as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.

Another serious contender of HGOTY is Akshay Kumar-led comic entertainer Welcome To The Jungle/Welcome 3 which recently commenced filming. Directed by Ahmed Khan, there has been a huge demand for the third Welcome instalment with Akshay and it is finally happening with a super solid supporting cast. It is 3rd most anticipated film of the year and is scheduled to release on December 20, 2024.

Blockbuster director Rohit Shetty is coming to set the screens on fire with one of his most trusted IPs, Singham 3 starring Ajay Devgn in the title role which is the 4th most anticipated film of the year. With Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor, boasting the cast, Singham 3 is easily one of the films to watch out for this year. It is slated to clash (for now) with Pushpa 2 on the big screen.



After a much-needed success in the form of Salaar: Ceasefire, Pan India superstar Prabhas will next be seen in director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD which is among the top 5 most-awaited movies of the year. It is one of its one-of-a-kind films in Indian cinema which is already exciting the audiences. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in major roles, Kalki is expected to be released in May 2024.
