Twitterati React On Karthi's 'Sardar' And Sivakrathikeyan-Fronted 'Prince'
Chennai, October 21 - Two of the anticipated Tamil films, Karthi's Sardar, and Sivakrathikeyan-fronted Prince has been released in theaters today (October 21). Both the actors have been in some fine form after delivering back-to-back hits, so the expectations are high for their next films.
Directed by P. S. Mithran, "Sardar" is a spy thriller film, and going by the reactions from the audience, the movie has been able to leave a mark. The engaging story and direction by Mithran are touted to be the biggest plus point of the movie, and on top of that, the music by GV Prakash Kumar seems to have added more energy to it.
Karthi is a proven actor and he has once again left a mark in a dual role, as per the overall reactions from the audience. However, moviegoers feel that the movie could have been a little bit shorter. But on the other hand, Karthi's terrific screen presence keeps the audience glued to their seats. Overall, the movie is getting positive reception from critics and the general public alike.
Talking about Sivakrathikeyan's "Prince", the movie is getting mixed to positive reviews, and somewhere lagging behind "Sardar" in this Diwali race. It is directed by "Jathi Ratnalu" fame Anudeep K.V. who seems to have done a good job again by mixing humor with a serious topic.
The movie is touted to be tailor-made for Sivakrathikeyan who seems to have nailed his performance once again. Leading actress Maria Ryaboshapka too seems to have done a decent job while Sathya Raj's performance is being lauded and his chemistry with Sivakarthikeyan is said to be the highlight of the film.
The comedy in the film is its USP, but at the same time, the audience feels that it fell flat in some places which makes it cringe in portions. Overall, the movie is being hailed as fun to watch with some fine music by Thaman S. As for the box office chances, Karthi's "Sardar" may emerge a winner against "Prince", however, Diwali weekend might benefit both the movies.
