Update On Who Produced WWE SmackDown Segment Involving The Rock And Roman Reigns
The opening of this week's "WWE SmackDown" saw a familiar sight: The Bloodline taking center stage. However, this time, their dominance extended beyond the storyline. The segment reportedly ran significantly over its allotted time, exceeding 30 minutes of airtime.
Adding to the intrigue, the segment was produced by Jason Jordan, marking a departure from the usual producer, Michael Hayes, for Bloodline segments. No official reason has been given for this change or the segment's extended length.
The lengthy segment focused on The Rock issuing a challenge. Fresh off a 21-minute online promo earlier in the day, The Rock confronted Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, the 2024 Royal Rumble winner and World Heavyweight Champion respectively. He challenged them to a tag team match at WrestleMania Night 1, where they would face The Rock and his cousin, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The Rock also acknowledged Reigns' authority as "Tribal Chief," fulfilling a demand Reigns made earlier.
The overrun reportedly impacted the rest of the show. Naomi's entrance for the first scheduled match did not air due to the extended Bloodline segment. It remains to be seen if or how other segments were affected.
