Varun Dhawan And Alia Bhatt-Fronted Third Installment of Dulhania Is In Development?

Mumbai, October 29 - Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt is one of the most loved on-screen pairs, thanks to their romantic-comedy film franchise Dulhania and their debut movie Student of The Year. While SOTY gave them a big break, it was the Dulhania franchise that made them popular among the youth audience.

Now, according to the latest reports, the makers are working on the 3rd installment of this blockbuster franchise. It is said that the Dharma Productions' film is currently in early discussions as the makers are working on multiple ideas for the third part. The makers have a couple of ideas to take the franchise forward.



The first part of the franchise, "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" was released in 2014 and grossed approx. 120 crores worldwide, followed by the second film "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" three years later and it topped the first film by a huge margin and grossed approx. 201 crores worldwide in 2017.

Meanwhile, Alia has had a great year on the work front as his "Gangubai Kathiawadi" was a box office hit while "RRR", in which she played an important role, grossed over 1100 crores worldwide. Alia's next theatrical release is "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani", slated for February 2023 release.

On the other hand, Varun Dhawan was last seen in "Jug Jug Jeeyo", which is a decent success at the box office. He will next be seen in Maddock Films' monster comedy "Bhediya", which is slated to hit screens on November 25, 2022.
