Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Vaccine War' Release Date Postponed To Dussehra 2023
Mumbai, June 9 - National award-winning filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's much-awaited drama film The Vaccine War will no longer be released during the Independence Day weekend, as announced earlier.
After the mega-blockbuster success of "The Kashmir Files", Agnihotri announced "The Vaccine War" last year with the release date. It is said that some work is still pending as the filmmaker is giving the final touches to the movie, which has forced the makers to postpone the release and it will now reportedly be released on Dussehra 2023 weekend. It will most likely be releasing on October 24.
It is reported that Agnihotri and his wife Pallavi Joshi will be adopting the same strategy for the film's release as they used for "The Kashmir Files". The duo have plans of organizing pre-release screenings of the film in the USA, just like TKF, before it hits Indian cinemas in October.
Produced by Pallavi Joshi and Abhishek Agarwal, "The Vaccine War" is based on India's journey to develop the COVID-19 vaccine amid the pandemic and the impact it had globally. It stars Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, and Sapthami Gowda, among others in key roles.
