WWE Bids Farwell To Augusta's James Brown Arena
The James Brown Arena in Augusta, Georgia, witnessed its final WWE event on March 16th as part of the Road to WrestleMania. Over 6,000 fans packed the stands for an emotional night of wrestling, marking the end of an era for the historic venue.
A fitting conclusion saw Georgia native Cody Rhodes headline the show. In a hard-fought battle, Rhodes emerged victorious over Drew McIntyre, much to the delight of the hometown crowd.
This emotional farewell comes as the James Brown Arena prepares to close its doors for good this summer. However, fans can look forward to a new and improved facility rising from the ashes. The reconstruction project is expected to be completed sometime in 2026.
