WWE Confirms WarGames At Survivor Series 2023
Las Vegas, 4 November - WWE has officially announced the return of the WarGames match for Survivor Series.
There was a lot of speculation surrounding the addition of this match to the event, but during the 2023 WWE Crown Jewel event, WWE confirmed its inclusion at Survivor Series.
Last year, WWE held the WarGames match on November 26, 2022, at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and was the 36th annual Survivor Series event. The event featured two WarGames matches, one for the men and one for the women.
The men's WarGames match was between The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn) and a team of rebels led by Kevin Owens (Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland). The match was a brutal affair, with both teams using the WarGames structure to their advantage. In the end, The Bloodline emerged victorious, with Roman Reigns pinning Kevin Owens.
The women's WarGames match was between Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley and a team of babyfaces led by Bianca Belair (Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim, and Becky Lynch). This match was also very physical, with both teams using the WarGames structure to their advantage. In the end, the babyface team emerged victorious, with Bianca Belair pinning Rhea Ripley.
