WWE Friday Night SmackDown, October 27, 2023 Play-By-Play Results
Roman and Paul entered the ring, joined by LA Knight. There was tension, and Knight took a seat at the head of the table. They finalized the contract for the WWE Championship Match. Knight signed and handed it to Roman.
A verbal exchange escalated. Roman signed but pushed the table onto Knight and attacked him. Jimmy Uso joined the fray. Knight retaliated and sent Jimmy through a table.
Rey Mysterio watched backstage for the next match.
Carlito and Santos Escobar vs. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins (with Bobby Lashley)
The match started with Angelo and Santos. Dawkins used a side headlock that Santos couldn't escape. Santos punched back, but Dawkins countered with a shoulder tackle. Santos attempted a waist lock, but Dawkins switched and Santos landed a successful dropkick for a near fall. Carlito tagged in, hitting a double sledge from the turnbuckle. Dawkins countered with a kick, but Carlito responded with a body block. Lashley's distraction allowed Dawkins to attack Carlito from behind. Carlito countered with a back elbow and an effective dropkick. Ford entered the ring and hit a flip dive onto Dawkins and Ford after Santos manipulated the ropes.
After a commercial break, Ford applied a rear chinlock to Santos. Santos punched back and attempted a sunset flip, but Ford rolled through and kicked him. Ford followed with a splash, but Carlito broke up the pin attempt. Meanwhile, Rey watched the match on a backstage monitor.
Ford continued to pummel Santos with punches and applied a camel clutch. Santos fought back with punches but was sent into the turnbuckles by Ford, who landed a boot and several elbows in the corner. Ford delivered a dropkick and more punches, followed by a rear chinlock. Santos countered with an elbow and a chop, but Ford stopped his progress with a clothesline. Dawkins tagged in, and they executed a double face plant on Santos.
Dawkins followed with an Irish whip, a twisting splash in the corner, and a kick. Santos retaliated with a jumping knee, leaving both down. Carlito and Ford tagged in, with Carlito launching a flurry of punches on Ford and Dawkins. Carlito executed a butterfly suplex on Ford and a superkick to Dawkins. Carlito attempted a sit-out spinebuster but only secured a near fall. As he tried for a lungblower, Ford dropped down, and Carlito nearly got a pin with a swinging neck breaker before Dawkins intervened.
Santos tagged in to continue, but Logan Paul attacked Rey backstage. Back in the ring, Carlito left for the backstage area, and Santos remained. Santos hit a head scissors and a running double knee strike in the corner but missed a pescado. Dawkins tagged in, and Ford prevented Santos from making a comeback. Santos attempted to leap over Ford, but Ford and Dawkins executed their finishing move, Revelation, securing the victory.
WINNER: Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford
In his office, Roman questions the Packers WWE belt that Paul holds. Jimmy arrives and lies down on the couch. Roman asks why he was in the trainer's room, and Jimmy explains he's ready to go. Roman tells Paul to set up a match.
Logan Paul is interviewed about his earlier attack.
Kevin Owens comments on Austin Theory's shirt and gets into a scuffle with Austin and Grayson Waller. Kevin lands a punch on both.
Dragon Lee expresses his happiness to be on Smackdown. Cedric Alexander interrupts, challenges Lee, and Lee accepts.
Shotzi challenges Chelsea, and Nick approves the match.
Shotzi vs. Chelsea Green (with Piper Niven)
Green started with a dropkick, but Shotzi countered with a rollup for a near fall. Green sent Shotzi into the turnbuckles, but Shotzi hit a boot. Shotzi executed a head scissors from the ropes and went up top, but Green retreated to the floor. Shotzi followed with a cannonball off the apron. Green responded with a side Russian leg sweep and landed punches, an elbow, snap mare, and a dropkick for a near fall. Green added a short arm clothesline and stood on Shotzi's neck.
Shotzi moved, and Green ended up on the apron. Shotzi kicked Green's head on the turnbuckles. Green countered with a gourdbuster and a missile dropkick. However, her lackadaisical cover allowed Shotzi to secure the three-count victory with a crucifix.
WINNER: Shotzi
John Cena addresses the crowd before Crown Jewel, stressing the importance of winning. Paul Heyman interrupts, recalling their history and praising Cena's communication skills. However, Heyman warns Cena that the Bloodline wants to silence him, and Solo attacks Cena, leaving him incapacitated.
LA Knight expresses his frustration with the Bloodline's actions and agrees to face Jimmy Uso later.
Dragon Lee vs. Cedric Alexander
The bout commences with Lee and Alexander engaging in a sequence of technical maneuvers, showcasing their wrestling prowess. They deftly exchange chops and kicks, demonstrating their agility and striking abilities. The crowd watches in anticipation as the contest intensifies, with each competitor looking for an opening to gain the upper hand.
Cedric Alexander seizes an opportunity to launch an attack, attempting to execute his signature Michinoku Driver to put Lee away. However, Lee counters with a quick rollup, narrowly missing the victory as he secures a near fall. The momentum swings back and forth as both competitors relentlessly pursue the win.
In a dramatic turn of events, Keith Lee caps off the match with a resounding superkick, dazing Cedric Alexander. With the audience on the edge of their seats, Lee executes his finishing move, the Destino, delivering the final blow to secure the three-count victory. The energy in the arena reaches its peak as Lee emerges as the triumphant competitor in this hard-fought encounter.

Up next is Bianca Belair, she makes her way to the ring and we go to the commerical break.
We're back, and Bianca Belair is thrilled to be back on SmackDown. She reveals that her absence was filled with thoughts of vengeance after being attacked by The Bayley Bunch following her title loss to Iyo.
While rehabbing, she grew stronger physically but was consumed by a desire for revenge, motivating her to return. At Crown Jewel, she'll face Iyo Sky in a rematch. Next week, she takes on Bayley, the mastermind behind the plan. Her quest for vengeance won't be complete until she reclaims her title.
In the next week, Bianca Belair faces Bayley, and there's a weigh-in for the Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio match.
Singles Match: Jimmy Uso vs. LA Knight
The bell rings and the match starts off...Knight suplexes Jimmy for a near fall. Knight targets Jimmy's arm with an armbar. Jimmy retaliates with punches and a chop, but Knight kicks and clotheslines him. Knight then focuses on Jimmy's knee with a dropkick and delivers another to the side of his head. Jimmy sends Knight to the apron and hits a suplex.
In the match, Knight starts with a shoulder tackle and a sunset flip for a near fall. Jimmy responds with an uppercut and corner punches. He hits a running hip into the corner. Knight counters with a clothesline, and both are down. They exchange punches, and Jimmy sends Knight shoulder-first into the ring post after a backheel kick.
Knight fights back with chops, a reverse DDT, and a side Russian leg sweep. He gets a near fall with a DDT. Jimmy goes to the floor after a kick, and Knight slams his head into the announce table. Knight then performs a superplex, followed by a BFT for the win.
WINNER: LA Knight
After the match, Knight gets up and celebrates, but the celebration is short-lived as Roman Reigns comes in and attacks Knight with a spear attempt, but misses and Knight with BFT to Roman.
