WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair Teases One More Wrestling Match
The WWE Hall of Famer posted a photo of himself on Twitter today to celebrate his 50 years in the wrestling business, thanking everyone who helped him celebrate his anniversary. Flair made his WWE debut in 1972 after training under Verne Gagne in Minnesota.
Flair wrote the following, "Thank You To Everyone Who Helped Me Celebrate My 50 Years In The Business! One Thing Is For Certain... I WILL NEVER RETIRE! WOOOOO! #50YearsOfFlair"
"I will never retire!" The line may be taken as a joke as it is one of his final promos leading up to his WWE retirement match at WrestleMania 24, but he did it when he heard of Flair coming out of retirement from Ricky Steamboat. Wants to wrestle again.
"Steamboat coming back makes me want to come back again," Flair said on a recent 'To Be The Man' podcast. "I went back up to Lincoln and started training again. What else is there to do?"
Flair's last match was during the Starcast in Nashville and it was clear that he was not himself during the match. Flair later said on his podcast that he was passed out twice during the match but that was because he was dehydrated.
