WWE Has Filed A Trademark For The New Moniker
Stamford, December 16 - On the latest installment of WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns, during the Bloodline segment, designated Solo Sikoa as the "Tribal Heir," signifying him as the successor to the Tribal Chief should any unforeseen circumstances arise. This decision didn't sit well with Jimmy Uso, as Solo emerged as the apparent heir to the Tribal Chief.
This development led to a dramatic encounter involving Randy Orton, who attempted to execute an RKO on Roman Reigns, only for Reigns to skillfully evade the maneuver.
Later in the show, a backstage segment unfolded featuring The Bloodline. Reigns took the opportunity to discuss the matter of handling Randy Orton, emphasizing the potential consequences if Jimmy Uso couldn't manage the situation independently. In response, Uso uttered the catchphrase "Yeet," a term associated with Jey Uso. However, Jimmy promptly backtracked on his statement, leaving Reigns visibly displeased.
Notably, WWE has taken steps to formalize this new storyline development. On December 15, 2023, the company filed a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the "Tribal Heir" moniker. The trademark application covers entertainment services such as wrestling exhibitions and performances by professional wrestlers and entertainers.
“Mark For: TRIBAL HEIR™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
