WWE Is Open To Moving WWE Raw To A Different Night
Chicago, 12 October - On September 12, 2023, the UFC and WWE formally united to create TKO Group Holdings, a fresh publicly traded company primarily under the ownership of Endeavor. In this new venture, Vince McMahon assumed the role of executive chairman, while Nick Khan took on the position of president.
Just a few days after this momentous announcement, TKO sealed their initial significant agreement by finalizing a five-year broadcasting rights deal with the USA Network. Commencing in October 2024, WWE SmackDown will be making its way to the USA Network through this partnership.
This fresh contract comes with an average annual value of $287 million, accumulating to a total of $1.435 billion over the course of five years.
Ari Emanuel, the CEO of TKO and Endeavor, expressed during Bloomberg's screentime conference that WWE could potentially relocate WWE RAW to a different night once the current TV deal concludes next year.
“We’re 52 weeks a year, right? And we’re flexible. You want us Thursday night? You want us Tuesday night? I don’t have any of those scheduling issues — I would say to you there’s plenty of interest in Raw, right now.”
