WWE Raw 5/8/23 Results: Seth Rollins Vs. Finn Balor Full Match & Winner
Seth and Balor stare each other down before locking up. Balor quickly takes Rollins down with a side headlock, but Rollins counters with a head scissors. They lock up again, and this time Balor applies a wrist lock, but Rollins reverses it and Balor reaches for the ropes.
They attempt a Greco-Roman knuckle lock, and Balor surprises Rollins with a reverse chin lock. However, Rollins counters with a hammerlock, and Balor once again reaches for the ropes. Balor then hits Rollins with a back elbow while in the ropes and follows up with punches, sending Rollins to the apron. Rollins attempts a sunset flip, but Balor rolls through and delivers a dropkick that sends Rollins to the floor. Rollins retaliates with a sling blade and a chop before returning to the ring.
Balor then targets Rollins with kicks in the ropes and sets up for a powerbomb into the ringside barrier. He taunts Rollins, asking him how he likes it, in reference to past actions by Rollins against Balor.

After the break, Rollins lands a punch on Balor while Balor maintains a wrist lock. Rollins then follows up with chops and slaps, but Balor counters with a kick to Rollins' arm. Rollins responds with clotheslines and a series of kicks, before hitting another clothesline. He then delivers a forearm in the corner and follows up with a backbreaker.
Rollins climbs the turnbuckle and attempts a frog splash, but Balor counters with his knees and nearly scores a pinfall with an inside cradle. Balor then locks in a Fujiwara armbar, forcing Rollins to stand up. Balor hits Rollins with a sling blade, and sets up for a running dropkick, but Rollins counters with a superkick for a near fall.
Balor and Rollins exchange punches and forearms, with Balor wringing Rollins' arm at one point. However, Rollins gains the upper hand with a running boot that sends Balor to the floor.
They continue their brawl on the outside, with Balor and Rollins taking turns slamming each other into the apron. Eventually, they return to the ring, where Rollins hits Balor with a rolling elbow, but Balor responds with a chop. Rollins follows up with an enzuigiri, but Balor counters with a Pele kick. The two continue to trade blows, with Rollins landing forearms and Balor countering with a rollup and double stomp.
Balor then climbs the turnbuckle, but Rollins stops him and attempts a superplex, which he rolls through into a Falcon Arrow. However, Balor counters with 1916 for a near fall. Rollins backs into the corner, and Balor lands several kicks before pulling the referee into the corner. Balor hits two running dropkicks on Rollins, but misses the Coup de Grace. Rollins counters with a kick and a one-armed Pedigree for a near fall. Rollins then sets up for Black Out, but he misses, and Balor rolls him up. Rollins rolls through and lands a boot to Balor's head before hitting Black Out for the three count.
