WWE SmackDown 1/12 Maintains Strong Viewership Despite Minor Decline
On Friday night, WWE SmackDown garnered an average of 2.384 million viewers on Fox, marking a 3.3 percent decline from the previous week's New Year's Revolution episode. Despite the drop, this still stands as the second-highest viewership for SmackDown since October 13.
In the 18-49 demographic, SmackDown recorded a 0.64 rating. This represents a 4.5 percent decrease from the previous week but ties for the second-highest rating since the September 15 episode featuring a surprise appearance by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
SmackDown not only secured the top spot in the key demo across all of network television but also led the daily sports chart, encompassing both network and cable sports programming. The nearest competition was an NBA game on ESPN, which averaged a 0.38 rating.
In comparison to the same week in 2023, SmackDown's overall viewership experienced a 2.5 percent increase, while its 18-49 rating saw a substantial rise of 16.4 percent.
