WWE SmackDown (2/2) Viewership: Records Second-Highest Audience Since September 15
Last Friday's SmackDown on FOX held onto a strong audience, securing an average of 2.469 million viewers. This represents a minor dip of 0.2% from the previous week, but still ranks as the show's second-highest viewership since September 15th, 2023.
More impressively, SmackDown surged in the coveted 18-49 demographic, scoring a 0.74 rating. This marks a healthy 4.2% increase from last week and stands as the program's highest rating in this category since August 25th, 2023. Notably, SmackDown more than doubled the viewership of any other network TV show in this key demographic.
Several factors likely contributed to this success. The episode offered a surprise appearance by The Rock in the final segment, alongside cameos from Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley. Additionally, the show built anticipation around the Royal Rumble winners selecting their WrestleMania opponents, generating excitement among fans.
Comparing to the same week in 2023, SmackDown witnessed a positive growth of 3.6% in overall viewership and a significant 21.3% jump in the 18-49 rating.
