WWE WrestleMania 38 Results: Seth Rollins Vs. Cody Rhodes Full Match & Winner

Seth "Freakin" Rollins looked for his WrestleMania moment when he battles an opponent handpicked by WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon!






Seth Rollins Vs. Cody Rhodes takes place on April 2, 2022, at the AT&T Stadium in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex city of Arlington, Texas.





Seth Rollins is the first to make the walk, everybody awaits, massive pop for Cody Right now in the arena. The lights go down and it's Cody Rhodes!

Cody Rhodes gets the same presentation as in AEW -- look, nickname, theme song, gear style.





Cody shakes the referee’s hand before Seth and Cody lock up. The crowd is loud for Cody before the match starts off. Here we go, They lock up and Cody with a side head lock. Cody with an arm drag and he does a Stardust cartwheel. Both men block hip toss attempts.





Seth Rollins goes for a Pedigree, but Cody blocks it and Rollins blocks Cross Rhodes. They go for suplexes but each blocks it until they both go over the top rope to the floor. There is a lockdown, Cody turns it into an armbar. Seth with a rollup for a near fall.





Cody goes for an O’Connor Roll and then he grabs Rollins and kicks him in the midsection.





Seth Rollins shifts the momentum, Seth with a bear hug. Cody with a running forearm and he floats over Rollins and hits a power slam. Cody with a clothesline that sends Rollins over the top rope to the floor. Cody with a suicide dive that sends Rollins over the announce table.





Seth Rollins hits a Falcon Arrow for the cover, but doesn't get it. Seth Rollins goes for Stomp, Cody sides up, Rollins goes for another, but this time too, he gets out. Cody with a Cross Rhodes for the cover, but kicks out at two and half.





Cody goes up to the top, Seth Rollins crases on his leg, Cody is able to get him down, Seth Rollins once again gets in. He plants a massive Inverted Superplex off the top rope followed by a Dragan Slipper for the cover, but kicks out again.





Seth Rollins goes up to the top and performs a Moonsault, but nobody is home, Seth Rollins with Underhook and goes for Pedigree, but Cody counters it into a Powerbomb for near fall.





Rollins with a jackknife cover. Cody with a Tiger Bomb, he goes for cover but kicks out. Seth Rollins finally gets Pedigree and goes for the cover, 1,2...he kicks out again. Both exchange punches. Rollins is leading up the match.





Rollins sets for the KO and connects. Cody with Cross Rhodes and then he holds on and hits one more. Cody with jabs and a Bionic Elbow. Cody with Cross Rhodes for the three counts.

For sure, WWE always keeps the backup and I guess, they must be done forging the power-packed opponent in the form of Cody Rhodes who is heavily rumored to be the 2023 Men's Royal Rumble Winner. ## However, While going through potential Royal Rumble winners, Dave Meltzer believes this year's WrestleMania match should be Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn. ## "WrestleMania should be Sami Zayn. I mean, I think it's it's like I'm watching this thing and it's like so clear in my head and it's that clear. You know, and again even I didn't study the ratings, I would say that, but studying the ratings makes it obvious. You know that he's the guy, you know, I mean Cody can be the guy and in you know, you have to rush to Cody. ## Anyway, maybe he could headline next year's WrestleMania. You could headline SummerSlam and Sami Zayn or you know, there's a million ways to get to Cody which at some point, you know at some point they should get to Cody too.
