Bhooth Bangla Day 48 Box Office: Horror Comedy Adds 0.50 Crore Net; Maintains Strong Legs in Seventh Week
BY SACNILK
Bhooth Bangla is now well into its seventh week, and the way it continues to pull in viewers after nearly 50 days is a clear sign of its strong legs at the box office. On its 48th day, the film earned 0.50 crore net in India, which is a standard mid-week dip of 16.7 percent from Tuesday's 0.60 crore. It is quite uncommon for a film in this genre to sustain interest for such an extended period, but the steady flow of viewers suggests it has successfully connected with the mass audience. The domestic total has now reached 180.95 crore net, showing a high level of consistency over its long journey. When we look at the gross figures, the India total stands at 214.32 crore. What is particularly impressive is that the film is still holding onto 1,581 shows daily, even after the arrival of several new releases. This indicates that there is still a niche audience in urban centers and mass pockets that continues to drive the numbers. On the global stage, the total overseas gross has settled at 53.75 crore. When combined with the India gross of 214.32 crore, the worldwide total for Bhooth Bangla currently stands at 268.07 crore. This run has been supported by an extensive theatrical presence in the domestic market, where the film has played over 2.41 lakh shows across India since its opening day. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In terms of audience engagement on digital platforms, the movie saw approximately 6,800 tickets sold on BookMyShow this Wednesday. This is a noticeable drop from the 14,800 tickets sold on Tuesday, but it still brings the total ticket count on the platform to over 33.82 lakh. Looking at the regional performance, the National Capital Region remains a primary contributor with 245 shows and an occupancy of nearly 10 percent. Other markets like Ahmedabad are seeing a slower pace, with 93 shows recording around 6 percent occupancy. National multiplex chains contributed about 24 lakh gross on Day 48, with nearly 12,600 tickets being sold across these major outlets. The occupancy in these chains hovered around the 4 percent mark, which is standard for a Wednesday in the seventh week. As Bhooth Bangla prepares to enter its eighth weekend, the focus will be on how much more it can add to its 180.95 crore domestic net before it finally moves toward its digital premiere.
