Yash Raj Films Confirms Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani 3'; To Start Filming In 2025

Mumbai, August 22 - Rani Mukerji-fronted cop action thriller Mardaani is one of the most loved female-led film franchises. It has not only been hailed by critics but has also been successful at the box office.

The first film in the franchise was released in 2014, followed by the second instalment in 2019. Last year, it was reported that the third instalment of the series was in the early development at Yash Raj Films and now, the studio has confirmed the same on the 10th anniversary of the first part.



According to the report by Pinkvilla, Mardaani 3 has finally been green-lit and is set to go on floors in the first quarter of 2025.

It is said that the team of writers is presently giving the finishing touches to the screenplay, following which the film moves into the pre-production stage. The character arc of the negative role which is menacing, will be much like the earlier two films.
