Yash To Start Shooting For 'Ramayana' In March
Mumbai, January 28 - Superstar Yash is busy shooting for director Geetu Mohandas' gangster action thriller Toxic which is the actor's first film since all-time blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2. The actor also has director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana which has been on the floors since last year.
In a recent interview, Yash confirmed his participation in Ramayana, not only as an actor but also as a co-producer. Now, according to the report by Filmfare, the actor will join the shoot of this epic by March this year. He will start with solo sequences in Lanka, followed by the Panchvati sequence.
As already known to all, Yash is playing the role of Raavan while Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi plays Goddess Sita. The film will be released in two parts, with the first part scheduled for Diwali 2026, followed by the second part on Diwali 2027.
Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Malhotra's Oscar-winning, DNEG is handling the VFX work while legendary A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer are the music composers.
