Yash and Sunny Deol's Shoot Details In Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana' Revealed

Mumbai, September 10 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana is the biggest Indian film in the making and the shoot for the same is happening at a brisk pace with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. It is easily the most anticipated film with a stellar cast attached to it.

Recently, it was reported that Ranbir Kapoor would be playing a dual role in the movie as Lord Ram and Maharshi Parsuram. The actor has already completed 90% of his work on Ramayana: Part One. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, superstar Yash, who plays the role of Raavan, will start shooting for this epic in December this year.



It is said that Yash has undergone several look tests for his character in Ramayana and is all set to start shooting in December 2024 after completing a major chunk of his next, the Geethu Mohandas-directed Toxic. The KGF star is excited to explore one of the most complex characters from Ramayana.

Yash will continue shooting for Ramayana: Part One till the first quarter of 2025 and sometime in mid-year, he will shoot for the combination scene with Ranbir. Meanwhile, Sunny Deol will start filming for the movie in the summer of 2024 after completing Border 2. He is playing the role of Lord Hanuman and has allotted bulk dates for the same.

Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in partnership with Yash's Monster Mind Creations with a budget of $100 million. The entire shoot of the film is expected to be wrapped by August 2025 and VFX work for the same is going on in full swing on the already shot part. It will have a grand global release in 2026.
