Kartik Aaryan's 'Satyanarayan Ki Katha' To Get A New Title To Avoid Controversy
Mumbai, July 4, 2021: Even before the movie started rolling, Kartik Aaryan's recently announced Sajid Nadiadwala's film, "Satyanarayan Ki Katha" will go through a title change. The decision of title change has been taken to avoid any sort of controversy going forward.
Taking cognizance of the concerns expressed by the audience against the title of the upcoming musical romantic film, director Sameer Vidwans issued a statement, saying that the makers have decided to change the name of the movie to avoid hurting any sentiments, even though the initial title wasn't international.
"A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of ur recently announced film 'Satyanarayan ki Katha' to avoid hurting sentiments even if that's purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey", the statement read.
Sameer Vidwans is a national award-winning director known for Marathi films like Dhurala, Altun Paltun, among others. Kartik Aaryan's film will be a debut Hindi film as a director. It will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in collaboration with Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora of Namah Pictures. The movie will hit theaters in 2022.
