Zee Studios Comes On Board For Akshay Kumar Starrer Raksha Bandhan; An Anand L. Rai Directorial
Akshay Kumar and Anand L. Rai have joined hands with Zee Studios for their upcoming drama film, Raksha Bandhan, which is currently under pre-production work. While the film marks the first collaboration between Rai and Zee, Akshay has already delivered hits like Rustom, Kesari, and Good Newwz in association with Zee Studios.
"Raksha Bandhan is a special film for all of us, rarely are such pure and simple films made. I am happy Zee is partnering with us on this one as I have always shared a good association with the entire team at Zee Studios – hoping that this only takes the relationship a notch higher. Can’t wait to begin filming for this one!", Akshay said in a statement.
Last year, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan (August 4), Akshay announced this film that revolves around an emotional brother-sister bond. A Zee Studios Presentation in association with Alka Hiranandani and Aanand L Rai, Raksha Bandhan is a Colour Yellow Production in association with Cape of Good Films. It will be directed by Rai while Himanshu Sharma has written it.

As of now, Raksha Bandhan is scheduled to be released worldwide on 5th November 2021 in theaters.
