'Modern Love' Cooking Between Pratik Gandhi, Wamiqa Gabbi, Fatima Sana Shaikh

Mumbai, Jan 19 (IANS) Actors Pratik Gandhi, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Fatima Sana Shaikh will be part of the Indian adaptation of the popular American romantic comedy anthology 'Modern Love'.## According to sources close to the development, "Each of the actors is helming different directors' stories in the anthology. And it's an exciting lineup of directors and actors who have come together. The series was shot late in 2021 and is believed to be releasing soon on an OTT platform".## The anthology will be directed by some renowned filmmakers like Hansal Mehta, Vishal Bhardwaj, Anjali Menon, Alankrita Shrivastava, Dhruv Sehgal, and Shonali Bose.## The anthology series explores love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms, as well as its effects on the human connection. R Balki's Psychological Thriller With Dulquer Salmaan Ropes In Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt & Shreya Dhanwanthary

Mumbai, August 11, 2021: Earlier in May this year, director R Balki announced his next film with Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan. The yet-to-be-titled psychological thriller is written by R Balki and co-written by Rishi Virmani and Raja Sen. Now, the makers have brought a respectable cast on board to join Salmaan. ## As reported earlier, Sunny Deol has been confirmed to lead the cast along with Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja Bhatt while Dulquer was already confirmed. The film marks R Balki's first collaboration with all four actors and the filmmaker is excited to shoot on the project after a long time. Balki last directed the 2018 National Award-winning drama Pad Man starring Akshay Kumar. ## "After months of waiting, for me, it is exciting to start shooting anything. And to make a film in a genre that I haven't attempted before is even more exciting. I have had the idea for a long time but never quite got around to writing it, and while it's fundamentally a thriller, it banks so much on these four stunning performers. I just can't wait to get into the edit room", Balki said in a statement.## Sunny Deol, who is widely known for doing action films, is returning to films after Blank (2019). R Balki said that he can't wait to exploit the actor's booming screen presence. "I am ecstatic to be working with Sunny, an actor whose booming screen presence conveys so much. Am glad he is back and hoping this new adventure will add a new dimension to his glorious filmography", he added. ## Balki also said he is thrilled that one of the "most charming" actors in Indian cinema, Dulquer Salman will be working with him. NCPCR Asks Netflix To Stop Streaming New Series 'Bombay Begums'

The leading streaming platforms are having tough times in dealing with new content from the last couple of months. After a controversy over the Tandav series, Amazon Prime Video was recently directed by the Bombay High Court to take down the Telugu movie, "V" over a complaint filed by actress Sakshi Malik. ## Now, Netflix has also become a subject to streaming objectionable content. This time, an Indian government agency for protecting child rights has asked Netflix to immediately stop streaming its new drama series "Bombay Begums" after it reviewed complaints around scenes showing children consuming drugs. ## In a letter to Netflix on Thursday, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) asked the streaming giant to investigate the matter and submit a report within 24 hours or face further action. The NCPCR notice referred to a tweet where a user objected to a scene showing "minors having cocaine".## "The series with this type of content will not only pollute the young minds of children, and may also result in abuse and exploitation of children", the NCPCR notice said.## Released this week, "Bombay Begums" is a series about five women from different parts of society trying to get ahead in modern Mumbai, formerly called Bombay.
