Adivi Sesh's 'Major' Scored 8 Million Viewing Hours In Its First Full Week On Netflix

Mumbai, July 13 - Adivi Sesh's biographical action drama film Major scored 8 million viewing hours on Netflix in its first full week in Hindi and Telugu languages. The movie was made available on the streamer on July 3 in all three release languages, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam. ## The Hindi version of the movie was the most-watched Indian title and second-most overall non-English movie globally on Netflix in the week of July 4 - July 10. It scored 5.99 million viewing hours while the Telugu version, which landed at number 8, grabbed 2 million hours of watch time in the movie's first full week on Netflix. ## Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, "Major" was released theatrically on June 3rd in the original Hindi and Telugu along with dubbed Malayalam versions. The film follows the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was martyred in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. It also stars Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Murali Sharma and Anish Kuruvilla. From its theatrical run, the movie grossed approx. 60 crores worldwide and declared as a box office super hit. ## SS Rajamouli's never-ending obsession RRR Hindi version continued to remain one of the choices on Netflix, especially among overseas audiences. The period action drama film scored 2.85 million viewing hours and remained in the top 10 most-watched non-English films worldwide for the 8th consecutive week on Netflix. ## Hindi movie, Operation Romeo, produced by Neeraj Pandey, opened at number 9 with 1.94 million viewing hours on the streamer. On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu-fronted horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 remained in the top 10 for the 4th consecutive week. In its 4th week, the movie scored 1.85 million viewing hours and landed at number 10. The cumulative viewing hours of BB2 have reached 21.70 million on Netflix. ## Stay tuned...
