Hyderabad, April 1 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun is set to headline director Atlee's next film. The duo has been in talks for some time now and have agreed to collaborate for the first time for an action drama film that will be AA's immediate next after the highly-awaited Pushpa 2 - The Rule. ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, Atlee has started to lock in the rest of the cast, and in this process, the blockbuster filmmaker is in talks with Samantha Ruth Prabhu to play the female lead. Sam and Atlee have previously worked together in Theri and Mersal, fronted by Thalapathy Vijay. ## It is said that both the actress and director are excited to work together again after 7 years. The movie will also mark Samantha's reunion with Allu Arjun after Son of Satyamurthy while she also did a special song in AA's Pushpa - The Rise. ## The movie will reportedly be produced by Sun Pictures and will feature multiple actresses. Hyderabad, December 25 - Over the last couple of months, there have been ample speculations around Tamil director Atlee's next film. The director at the moment is on cloud nine having delivered the biggest blockbuster of his career with superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan", and has even expressed his desire to reunite with him. ## It is a known fact that Atlee has been in discussions with many superstars across the industries for his next film, and now, according to Pinkvilla, the blockbuster director's next film is likely to be with Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who is currently shooting for highly-anticipated Pan India film "Pushpa 2 - The Rule". ## It is said that Atlee and Allu Arjun have been in talks for a possible collaboration and things are finally heading in the right direction. While the Pushpa star is yet to sign the movie officially, his next after "Pushpa 2" will most likely be with Atlee and the shoot for the same is expected to commence in October this year. ## "The duo have agreed upon a solid commercial entertainer that would present the icon star like never before. The film's extended version is streaming after its theatrical release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. ## Directed by Atlee Kumar, the action thriller recorded 10.6 million viewing hours from 3.7 million views for the Hindi version during the week of November 6 - November 12. The movie scored 14.90 million viewing hours from 5.2 million views during its opening weekend upon its release on November 2nd. ## "Jawan" has scored 25.50 million viewing hours from 8.9 million views so far in just 11 days, making it one of the fastest Indian movies to reach 25 million viewing hours on Netflix. It has beaten the record of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2: The Katha Continues which took 24 days to reach the milestone a few weeks ago.## "Jawan", directed by Atlee Kumar, hit the landmark box office figure today, on its 18th day. It also becomes only the third outright Bollywood movie, and 4th overall to hit 500 crores net collection in Hindi. All three Bollywood movies to reach this figure were released in 2023 only, and this includes SRK's "Pathaan" and "Gadar 2". SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2" was the first and only non-Bollywood movie to top 500 crores net in the Hindi language.## Meanwhile, in another box office milestone, "Jawan" has topped 1000 crores gross worldwide on its 18th day, becoming the fastest Bollywood movie ever to do the same. With this movie, Atlee has also become the first Tamil director to deliver a 1000-crore grosser and this huge success is making noise outside India as well.## During a recent interview with Film Companion, Atlee revealed that he got calls from Hollywood and even a few offers to work there if he wished to. The filmmaker said that one of the scenes in the movie, where Shah Rukh Khan's Vikram Rathore lighting a cigar with the sparks generated during an action-packed scene, has attracted the attention of Hollywood artists.## "People who worked on our film were from Hollywood. Action director Spiro Razatos worked with us. So, Spiro and other great directors and technicians from Hollywood were at the same screening of Jawan. And Spiro said I have done action in this film. So, they asked who had done that scene where SRK was engulfed in flames. He said, 'It was the director's vision and he executed it".## He added that, "They immediately connected with me and told me, 'If you want to work in Hollywood, let us know', so it isn't a taste which is very desi. It is something superheroic and it has a very basic rhythm.
