India dismiss Pakistan to reach women's Asia Cup final
India's dominance over Pakistan in women's cricket had continued as India crushed Pakistan by 7-wickets to reach final of the women's Asia Cup for record 7th time on Saturday, June 9. ## Pakistan yet to beat India in women's cricket as It was the 10th match between the two nations and India have won all of them.## In this virtual Semi-final, Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bat first. ## However, Pakistan could score only 72 for 7 in 20 overs. Sana Mir was the top scorer with unbeaten 20 off 38 balls while opener Nahida Khan was the second highest scorer with 18 off 27 balls.## None of the other batters could cross 2-digit mark and result in they reduced to the modest total of 72. ## India's bowling had been excellent again as Ekta Bisht was the star performer who conceded only 14 runs in 4 overs and picked 3 wickets.## Anuja Patil was the only bowler who conceded 6-runs per over while other bowlers finished with under 4-runs per over. ## Poonam Yadav 11 for 1, Deepti Sharma 13 for 1, Shikha Pandey 6 for 1 bowled really well to restricted Pakistan way below par score.## In a replay of 73, India didn't face any difficulty despite losing Mithali Raj and Deepti Sharma on 5. ## Both the batters couldn't open their account and both were dismissed by Anam Amin. However, Smriti Mandhana and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur didn't give Pakistan any chance to create history.## However, Mandhana got out just three runs before the target. She scored 38 off 40 balls after putting 65-run partnership with Harmanpreet Kaur. ## Kaur hit the winning run as India chased down the target in 16.1 overs. Kaur remained unbeaten on 34 off 49 balls.## Pakistan didn't have much success with the ball as they could manage only 3 wickets. ## However, Anam Amin was the star bowler for them as she finished her spell with 10 for 2 in for overs.
