After 10 days, "Gehraiyaan" has gained 13.6 million views, becoming one of the most-watched Indian films during the same period. The viewership data are tracked by Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, which tracks viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms. ## Released on February 11, "Gehraiyaan" narrates the complexity of modern relationships. It had gained 6.5 million views in the first 3 days on Prime Video, landing in the second spot in the weekly viewership chart. The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in prominent roles.## Yami Gautam-fronted, a vigilante thriller film "A Thursday", was the second most-watched Indian title last week with 5.3 million views in a little over 3 days. Mumbai, February 11 - Dharma Productions' romantic drama, "Gehraiyaan", starring Deepika Padukone has been released on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Shakun Batra, the complex modern relationship drama film is being loved by the critics and OTT audience alike. ## Originally made for the theatrical release, the makers changed their plans and collaborate with Amazon Prime Video for the wide reach of the film and sold the streaming rights in the range of Rs. 100 crores, according to industry insiders. It is said that the movie cost approx Rs. 70 crores to the makers. ## The direct-to-digital amount of "Gehraiyaan" has made it the biggest deal for a woman-centric film and one of the highest for a Bollywood movie. The makers are said to be happy with the deal as they thought it wouldn't have recovered the cost if it was released in theaters amid the current circumstances.## Earlier, Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, and Sara Ali Khan's "Atrangi Re", which was released in December last year on Disney Plus Hotstar, was reportedly sold to Rs. 140 crores while movies like "Laxmii", "Coolie No. 1", "Bhuj: The Pride of India" were also sold at a high price. ## "Gehraiyaan" is jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Jouska Films.
